Student Assistance Program
Student Assistance Program groups are for any student who wishes more information on communication skills, substance abuse, self-esteem issues, and decision-making skills. The groups are available to every student at Los Osos Middle School and participation is voluntary. These groups start in the first semester and meet for approximately 10 – 12 weeks. The groups are led by trained facilitators who are skilled in promoting the development of a safe atmosphere within which students can examine healthy ways of dealing with important issues. In order to create a safe atmosphere, confidentiality is one of the basic group rules.
